IG Islamabad adamant to arrest Imran Khan

LAHORE: Inspector General of Islamabad Police Akbar Nasir Khan on Sunday said the court notice was of Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan’s arrest, Bol News reported.

“The purpose of the legal notice is that Imran Khan should be arrested and produced,” said the IG Islamabad. He said police had order for Imran’s arrest, so the PTI workers should not create a hurdle.

He said crating obstacle in legal action was a crime. Police officers were present to take the former prime minister, he said.

On the other hand, a police official claimed that they had come to tell Imran Khan to appear before the court. The next phase would be his arrest, if he did not appear before the court, he said. He said they came only to give the court notice to him to implement the court order.
