ISLAMABAD: The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Wednesday issued notice to Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan in a case pertaining to vandalism at Judicial Complex during his appearance.

IHC Justice Aamer Farooq conducted the hearing on a petition seeking contempt of court proceedings against Khan for the violence.

The petition demanded lawful action against Imran Khan saying that the PTI chief had created a chaos at the Judicial Complex and the law and order situation was taken into hands.

“Imran Khan didn’t comply with the IHC order on March 17,” it added. It also said that the PTI chief didn’t comply with a single order issued by the court on March 17.

“The PTI workers pelted stones on the police and judicial complex which resulted in injuries of police personnel,” the petition read.

IHC chief justice issued notice to Imran Khan and adjourned the hearing until April 7.

Pertinently, during the appearance of Imran Khan in the court, Judicial Complex turned into a battlefield as the PTI workers and the Police engaged in a rampage.
