LAHORE: Caretaker Punjab chief minister (CM) Mohsin Naqvi announced to form a Joint Investigation Team (JIT) to probe the incidents that took place at Zaman Park during the past few days.

Addressing a presser he said that the government will ensure the writ of state at any cost adding that a probe will be carried out regarding the ‘terror’ events that took place at Zaman Park.

CM Punjab also said that he has given a free hand to the police for ensuring the writ of the state. He also underscored that he had been asking the law enforcement agencies to hold back but will no longer do so.

Mohsin Naqvi also intimidated that he is going to write about the situation to the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP).

Pertinently, Police have been arresting PTI workers and leaders. Not only this, a case has also been lodged against 17 Pakistan Tehreek e Insaf (PTI) leaders including chairman Imran Khan under the terrorism act.

The case has been filed under terrorism provisions. The FIR mentions that Imran Khan reached the Islamabad judicial complex with a crowd at 3:30 pm and the crowd pelted stones at police. The case includes terrorism, interference in government affairs, damage to government and private property and other provisions.
