Indonesian envoy encourages Pakistani students to avail scholarships opportunities
Indonesian Ambassador to Pakistan Adam M Tugio has said there were enormous scholarship opportunities for Pakistani students in Indonesia as many universities offered full scholarships to Pakistani students.
He made these remarks while visiting a two-day International Education Summit in Islamabad on Sunday.
Ambassador Tugio said the expo was also a good opportunity for the embassy since it could introduce some best universities in Indonesia.
The ambassador encouraged business community to play proactive role in connecting university labs to the markets.
On November 6, 2022, Federal Minister for Education and Professional Training Rana Tanveer Hussain had offered 80 fully funded scholarships (Undergraduate & Graduate) to Syrian students under various programs and mainly in the fields including medicine, dentistry, engineering, physical, natural & applied sciences, agriculture, education and etc.
He had offered the scholarships during his productive bilateral visit to the Arab Republic of Syria on the invitation of Dr. Darem Tabba, Minister of Education, Syria, a press release had said.
Rana Tanveer Hussain’s visit was a follow-up visit of the Syrian Education Minister to Pakistan in 2021.
During his visit, Rana Tanveer Hussain had held meetings with Hussein Arnous, Prime Minister of the Arab Republic of Syria, Mr. Bassam Bashir Ibrahim, Minister of Higher Education, Mr. Namir Habib Makhlouf, Governor Homs and Mr. Mahmoud Zanubua, Governor Hama, Syria.
