The appeal was filed by Advocate Shahid Rana for Rana Sanaullah’s leaking audio conversation between former Punjab chief minister Parvez Elahi and president Supreme Court Bar. He said the interior minister tried to scandalize judiciary by leaking the call. “He put the legal circles in frenzy by affecting privacy of the lawyer and client,” he said adding that every person was trying to make the judiciary controversial.

The LHC said the authority for suo moto notice in his case was with the Supreme Court. It said nothing affected the courts.
