LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan has finalized the party candidates and Hammad Azhar will contest the Punjab assembly elections from PP 125 Lahore.

Among those who got PTI party tickets are Yasir Geelani from PP 144 Shahdara, Farooq Khan from PP 146, Malik Waqar from 146, Mian Ibad Farooq from 147, Mansab Awan from 150, Qaiser Butt from 151, Abdul Karim Khan from 148, 149 Mehr Waseem, 152 Former Member of Punjab Assembly of PML-N Wasim Qadir will contest on PTI ticket.

On the other hand, after the announcement of the elections in Punjab, the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP) has decided to start preparing the staff for the polls.

ECP will start the training of master trainers next week and a list of 40 master trainers has been prepared in this regard.

The master trainers will be trained by the senior officers of the Election Commission at the commission’s Secretariat.

The sources privy to the matter have said that the training process will be completed in three to four days. Later, the training of the election staff will be focused.
