Saudi Cabinet approves transformation of Shareek program
The Cabinet in Saudi Arabia, chaired by Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques King Salman on Tuesday approved to transform the Private Sector Partnership Reinforcement Program (Shareek) into a center named “the Private Sector Partnership Reinforcement Center (Shareek)”.
The Cabinet also approved an agreement between the government of Saudi Arabia and the government of Morocco in the field of air transport services, among other issues on its agenda.
During the session, the Cabinet also discussed the bilateral relations between the two friendly countries, Saudi Arabia and the Republic of Costa Rica.
The meetings held between the Kingdom and the other several countries to boost cooperation were also discussed during the session.
Acting Minister of Media Dr. Majid Bin Abdullah Al-Qasabi said that the Cabinet commended the outcomes of the third Riyadh International Humanitarian Forum, organized by King Salman Humanitarian Aid and Relief Center (KSrelief) in partnership with the United Nations and its affiliated organizations.
Meanwhile, the minister of culture was authorized to discuss and sign with the Kuwaiti side a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the cultural field.
The minister of environment was authorized to discuss and sign with the Djiboutian side a draft memorandum of understanding for cooperation in the field of live animal stock between the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Agriculture, Water, Livestock and Fisheries of Djibouti.
The Cabinet also authorized the minister to discuss and sign with the Thai side a draft memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Environment, Water and Agriculture of Saudi Arabia and the Ministry of Agriculture and Cooperatives of Thailand in the agricultural field.
The Cabinet also approved Saudi Arabia’s accession to the Near East Plant Protection Organization (NEPPO).
The Cabinet approved a memorandum of understanding between the Communications, Space and Technology Commission of Saudi Arabia and the National Communications Agency of Brazil.
Meanwhile, the minister of education was authorized to discuss and sign with the Bangladesh scientific and educational cooperation.
It gave the go-ahead to the Saudi Arabian Nuclear and Radiological Control Commission’s Chairman of the Board of Directors to negotiate and sign a draft memorandum of understanding with the Republic of Iraq’s Radioactive Sources Regulatory Authority in the areas of nuclear security and radiation protection.
The draft memorandum of understanding between the Saline Water Conversion Corporation of Saudi Arabia and Shinshu University in Japan in the field of seawater desalination was also to be discussed and signed with the Japanese side with the permission of the Cabinet.
The Cabinet assigned the minister of energy to issue the necessary executive decisions and how to implement them. It also approved the strategy of roads sector.
