• Sindh govt is to launch FM radio for public guidance
• The channel will inform about calamities, emergencies

KARACHI: In a cutting-edge decision, Sindh government is to launch FM radio for immediate and accurate guidance for the public in natural calamities, emergencies, traffic situations and terrorism incidents.

The decision was announced in a meeting chaired by Provincial Minister of Information Sharjeel Inam Memon. The broadcast of the FM channel will start soon across the province.

Secretary Information Nadeem Rehman Memon, Director Admin Muhammad Yusuf, Director Press Information Hasan Asghar Naqvi, Director Advertising Imtiaz Joyo and others participated in the meeting.

Minister of Information while addressing on occasion said that the Sindh government led by Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) has accomplished 15 major development projects but sadly those were not publicized effectively.

“Sindh has the best hospitals of all Pakistan, NICVD, SIUT, and Cyberknife are the facilities given to the people of Sindh. These hospitals are serving not only Sindh but the whole of Pakistan and neighboring countries.”

He also directed the authorities to make the public aware of the projects the Sindh government has successfully achieved.

“This is the primary responsibility of the Sindh Information Department,” he added.
