KARACHI: The meteorological department has shared a glad tiding for the citizens of the metropolitan city that Karachi is likely to be hit by light rain with thunderstorms from Friday (March 17) to Sunday (March 19).
The rain will be caused by a westerly wave that is to enter the upper parts of Pakistan on March 16 and grip the upper and central parts on March 17.
During this time, strong dusty winds are also likely to blow.
Apart from this, wind-dust/thunderstorm is also expected in Sukkur, Jacobabad, Larkana, Shaheed Benazirabad, Mirpurkhas and Dadu on the same dates.
Moreover, the weather in the city is to remain hot and humid today and the temperature is likely to touch 35 degrees Celsius.
Today, the minimum temperature was recorded at 23 degrees Celsius, while humidity in the air was recorded at 76%.
Sea breezes are suspended in the city due to westerly winds.
