LAHORE: Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) leader Aitzaz Ahsan on Thursday said it would be contempt of the Supreme Court, if elections were delayed beyond 90 days, Bol News reported.

“Implementation of the SC order, as it is, is a must. The chief justice of Pakistan is our red line. An attempt was made to delay the election beyond 90 days. They tried to make the verdict regarding election controversial,” Aitzaz Ahsan said talking to media in Lahore.

He said nobody could dictate the court. All the five judges announced the verdict about election with consensus, he added.

The PPP leader said fake audios of ex-CJP Saqib Nisar were leaked and conspiracies launched against the chief justice. He said the CJ was being threatened. The lawyers stood by the chief justice and judiciary, he added.
