LAHORE: A district and sessions court on Tuesday sent notices and summoned PML-N’s Maryam Nawaz and Rana Sanuallah on a petition filed against the operation in Zaman Park.

A petition was filed against the operation conducted at Zaman Park days back and Maryam Nawaz, Rana Sanaullah, IG Punjab and CCPO Punjab were nominated in the application.

The court while hearing the petition summoned the PML-N leaders in the case.

Zaman Park caretaker Awais Niazi filed the petition through Mian Ali Ashfaq and Rana Maruf saying that the IG Punjab conducted a raid on the others of Maryam Nawaz and Rana Sanaullah.

“The sanctity of ‘Chaadar and Chaar Dewari’ was violated,” it added.

The plea also said that police were requested to register a case on the incident but police paid no heed.

“The session court should order to register a case against Maryam Nawaz Rana Sanaullah and others.”

Pertinently, an operation was conducted on the residence of Imran Khan at Zaman Park on an occasion when Imran Khan left for an appearance in Toshakhana case at the judicial complex Islamabad.
