LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) has been charged with riots at Zaman Park and a case is registered against PTI Chairman Imran Khan and other party leaders.

A case has been registered at Race Course Police Station on the complaint of SHO Rehan Anwar.

The FIR says that 20 charges including terrorism have been added in the case against former Prime Minister Imran Khan and other party leaders.

The FIR also claimed that PTI leaders and hundreds of workers were involved in serious crimes at the directive of Imran Khan. “Imran Khan and his associates were also charged with criminal conspiracy.”

Apart from this, other provisions include refusal to receive summons, riots, and interference in state matters.

“PTI leaders caused troubles for the people and damaged state property,” it added.

Not only this, the FIR mentions that police personnel including DIG Islamabad were injured by PTI workers.

Pertinently, a bedlam at Zaman Park continued for over 24 hours as the Police and Rangers tried to arrest PTI Chairman Imran Khan in Toshakhana reference.

Hundreds of PTI workers gathered at his residence to resist the arrest and the police had to resort to tear gas shelling and water cannons.
