VEHARI: Former president and Pakistan Peoples Party Co-Chairman Asif Ali Zardari has said that effort will be made to correct the judiciary, just as the entire nation is being corrected.

He said this while talking to media persons in Vehari where he reached by a private aero plane on Monday for his first visit.

Zardari claimed that Pakistan Tehreek-i-Insaf (PTI) had not won the Rajanpur by-election on the basis of its popularity but because of the effects of inflation.

He was of the view that Imran Khan was not a politician that was why he could not be talked for solution of political issues.

He observed, “You have to be hardworking in politics. Imran Khan is not used to this tenacity.”

He said that political relations are improving due to personal ties.

The former president maintained that they completely knew the condition of the economy when they came to power but they had to save Pakistan.

He said that the PPP was not a part of the PMD but a part of the government.

He further said that Imran Khan wanted to sell off all public institutions, adding that the PDM had come forwards to save the country.

There was no inflation during the PPP government, however, the salaries of employees, pensioners and judges were increased, Zardari asserted and added Sindh has reservations about digital census.

Former President Asif Ali Zardari will address the workers’ convention in Vehari during his two-day visit on March 7.

According to Special Assistant to PM Shehar Yar Khan, all possible arrangements for the workers’ convention have been completed. The former President will also meet different delegations. During his visit, former President Asif Ali Zardari will stay at Shehar Yar Khan’s residence.
