Army Chief Asim Munir meets US Centcom commander

RAWALPINDI: Chief of Army Staff General Syed Asim Munir on Monday met with US Central Command Commander General Michael Eric Kurilla.

The media wing of armed forces, Inter Services Public Relations (ISPR) said the regional situation and mutual cooperation and defense situation were discussed in the meeting.

“The Pakistan-US military leadership agreed to promote bilateral cooperation in all fields,” the ISPR said.

On July 16, Asim Munir Ahmed Shah had discussed issues of mutual interests with his Irani counterpart, Chief of General Staff for the Armed Forces of Iran General Mohammad Bagheri during his visit to Tehran.

“A wide range of issues of interest to the two parties including defense cooperation were discussed in the meeting,” the Embassy of Islamic Republic of Iran- Islamabad had said in a tweet.
