KARACHI: The Sindh government on Friday announced to ban public display of weapons across the province for three months, Bol News reported.

The Sindh Home Ministry has issued a notification in this regard on request of the Sindh Rangers director general.

Police, Rangers, security guards and law enforcement agencies personnel are exempted from the ban and they would be able to carry their weapons.

Upon violation of the Section 144, action would be taken on keeping a weapon in an open vehicle. The government has issued instructions to all the senior superintendent of police to implement the order.
