Austria is a highly sought-after vacation spot, providing a range of options for all preferences throughout the year, including sports, cultural city trips, or relaxing getaways in nature, whether it’s summer or winter.
Pakistani citizens need a Schengen visit visa to enter the Republic of Austria for tourism purposes.
A Schengen visa permits foreign nationals to visit Austria and other Schengen countries for a maximum of 90 days.

Travel medical insurance with a coverage of at least 30,000 euros, valid for the entire duration of travel within the Schengen territory.
Documentation demonstrating accommodation for the entire travel period is needed, and in the case of online bookings, a complete and clear booking confirmation is necessary.
Evidence of financial resources includes statements from accounts (current and savings) for the past six months (with bank details), proof of income covering the last six months, tax returns (both NTM and FBR) for the previous three years, and verification of pension payments or any other consistent income streams.
Additional documents for a tourist visa
If relevant: verification from the applicant’s company or employer, indicating the name, position, duration of employment, salary, temporary or long-term employment status, leave permit details, and contact information (phone, email, address). The document should be signed by an authorized person, along with proof of their authority to sign.
If applicable: evidence of self-employment, including tax reports, excerpts from the trade register, websites, and proof of export or import activities, among other relevant documents.
Austria Schengen Visit Visa Fee in Pakistan
The applicants will be charged a visa fee of Euro 80 per application (Rs 24,600 as of November 15).
Processing Time
Once a visa application is submitted, it will be sent to the Embassy of Austria on the next business day. According to the Schengen Visa code, decisions on applications will be made within 15 calendar days, although this period may be extended to a maximum of 30 calendar days in specific instances. This extension may occur when additional scrutiny of the application is necessary or in cases of representation where the authorities of the represented member state are consulted.
