Court orders to return confiscated assets, properties of Nawaz Sharif
ISLAMABAD: The accountability court of Islamabad on Friday ordered the relevant authorities to return confiscated assets and properties of former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-N (PML-N) supremo Nawaz Sharif, Bol News reported.
The accountability court withdrew its order of confiscation of Nawaz Sharif’s properties, vehicles, bank accounts and assets. The court had issued the orders of confiscating his properties after he was declared absconder.
Nawaz Sharif’s more than 1650 kanal agricultural land, Mercedes, land cruisers and other vehicles were confiscated.
Accountability court Judge Muhammed Bashir had issued the orders to return his assets.
On November 6, Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) and Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) had agreed to work together to save the state.
Former President Asif Zardari had telephoned former Prime Minister and PML-N supremo Nawaz Sharif in both leaders agreed that they would play their role together to save the state.
According to Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) sources, Asif Zardari had congratulated Nawaz Sharif on his return home after self-imposed exile in London.
