Ex-naval chief receives King Abdul Aziz Medal

KARACHI: Former Chief of the Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi has been conferred upon with King Abdul Aziz Medal from Commander Western Region of Saudi Armed Forces in Makkah Saudi Arabia on Friday, Bol News reported.

The Pakistan Navy spokesperson said the former naval chief has been awarded the medal for his services.

“The awarding ceremony was held at the Clock Tower of Makkah in which civil and military officials of both countries participated,” the spokesperson said.

On October 5, outgoing Chief of Naval Staff Admiral Muhammad Amjad Khan Niazi had paid a farewell call on Preisdent Dr Arif Alvi and Caretaker Prime Minister Anwaar-ul-Haq Kakar.

The president had lauded the services of the outgoing naval chief and his contribution to the country and the Pakistan Navy. He had wished Admiral Niazi the best for his future.

On the other hand, PM Kakar had lauded the services of the outgoing naval chief for his leadership of the institution and playing a key role in making the country’s defence impregnable.
