FIA arrests five involved in sexual harassment, online fraud

FAISALABAD: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Cyber Crime Circle on Friday arrested five suspects involved in sexual harassment, child pornography and online fraud, Bol News reported.

The arrested suspects have been identified as Khaleequr Rehman, Abdul Majeed, Asif Abbas, Muhammed Shakeel and Muhammed Nadeem. They were arrested from Faisalabad, Okara and Jhang. Asif Abbas and Abdul Majeed were found involved in sharing objectionable videos and pictures of the woman.

The suspects also blackmailed and harassed the affected women. Accused Asif Abbas was found involved in sharing child pornography as well. Several videos related to child pornography were recovered from his mobile phone.

The arrested accused, Khaleequr Rehman, pretended to be an employee of a private company and defrauded citizens online. Accused Mohammad Shakeel and Mohammad Nadeem made calls to citizens using online software. They stole an amount of Rs767,000 from the bank account of a citizen using spoofing software.

Cases have been registered against all the accused and investigation has been started, said the FIA spokesperson.
