FIA arrests human smuggler in Karachi

KARACHI: The Federal Investigation Agency (FIA) Anti-Human Trafficking Cell on Friday arrested a human smuggler involved in human smuggling in Karachi, Bol News reported.

On the direction of FIA Director Karachi Zone Zaeem Sheikh, crackdown continued to arrest human smugglers. On the orders of Deputy Director Anti-Human Trafficking Circle, Bahawal Ostu, the raiding team arrested the human trafficker.

The suspect Mansoor Ali from PECHS area of Karachi. Inspector Babar Ali, Sub-Inspector Shahid Mustafa, Mehran Khan and Constable Hassan conducted the raid along other team members. The arrested suspect was involved in the heinous crime of human trafficking.

The FIA spokesperson said he was receiving passports from citizens under the guise of employment abroad without a license. The arrested accused extorted lakhs of rupees from citizens in the name of employment abroad.

During the raid, several passports were recovered from the possession of the suspect. Several forms, check books, stamps and other travel documents were also recovered from him. The suspect was arrested and investigation was launched.

The spokesperson said raids were being conducted to arrest other suspects too.
