Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul-Haq Kakar on Thursday convened the Apex Committee of the Special Investment Facilitation Council.

The meeting was held at the Prime Minister’s House, which marked by special participation from military leadership, also saw the presence of provincial chief ministers and federal ministers.

The focus of the gathering centered on reviewing issues related to investments from Gulf countries in Pakistan.

The meeting provided a platform for a comprehensive briefing on measures taken to attract capital from Gulf nations, including China.

Concerned ministries delivered detailed presentations on various investment projects, outlining the progress and plans.

Notably, Army Chief General Asim Munir joined the meeting at the PM House, engaging in discussions with Caretaker PM Kakar.

Sources indicate that the meeting extended its agenda to encompass discussions on both national and regional security issues.
