KARACHI: The Sindh government on Thursday disclosed the winter vacation schedule for both public and private educational institutions throughout the province.

As outlined in a notification released by the Sindh School, Education, and Literacy Department, the winter vacation for educational institutions in the province will be observed from December 22 to 31.

The notification states, “In accordance with decisions made during the steering committee meeting, all public and private educational institutions under the administrative purview of the School Education and Literacy Department Government of Sindh will remain closed from December 22, 2023, to December 31, 2023, for Winter Vacation.”

Following the winter break, these educational institutions are scheduled to resume classes on Friday, January 1, 2024.

Additionally, it was announced that the new academic year for both public and private schools across Sindh is set to commence on April 15, 2024, while colleges will begin on August 1, 2024.

Matriculation and intermediate exams are scheduled to start in the last week of May 2024, with results anticipated to be declared on July 31 and the second week of August, respectively.
