The 52nd Martydom Day of Major Muhammad Akram, the martyr of the 1971 Indo-Pak war, is being celebrated, Bol News reported.

Major Muhammad Akram was born on April 4, 1938 in a small village named Dinga near Kharian Cantt.

According to the media wing of Pakistan Army Inter Service Public Relations (ISPR), the war hero Major Muhammad Akram was paid tribute by the Pakistan Army, Chairman Joint Chiefs of Staff Committee, and service chiefs.

The ISPR says that Major Muhammad Akram Shaheed repulsed the enemy attacks in the 1971 war; the magnifiecent resistance of Major Muhammad Akram Shaheed did not allow the Indian Army to occupy.

“Let us remember these heroes who gave their lives in defense of our country.” “The nation is proud of its gallant sons,” said the ISPR.

Earlier, In a statement issued by the Department of Public Relations of the Pakistan Army, ISPR said that on the occasion of the 51st Martyrdom Day of Nishan Haider Major Akram Shaheed, General Officer Commanding Major General Muhammad Nadeem Ashraf laid a wreath at the shrine.
