Eight held with over 34kg drugs as ANF operation continues

The Anti-Narcotics Force (ANF) in Pakistan on Saturday successfully seized over 34 kg of drugs and arrested eight suspects, including a woman.

At Bacha Khan International Airport, 1 kg 600 grams of ice was found in a passenger’s trolley bag as they were about to board a flight to Doha (PK-285). Another operation at the same airport led to the discovery of 95 capsules filled with ice hidden in a passenger’s stomach, boarding a flight to Doha (QR-601).

At Allama Iqbal International Airport, 700 grams of heroin were confiscated from a passenger’s trolley bag, intending to fly to Sri Lanka (UL-186).

In Karachi, near Alfalah Bank in Sohrab Goth, 18 kg of hashish was recovered from a vehicle, resulting in the arrest of two suspects.

Additionally, 1 kg of ice was seized from three suspects near Hayatabad Toll Plaza in Peshawar, and in Anjani village in Feroze Khel, 12 kg of hashish intended for smuggling was confiscated.

The arrested individuals are facing cases under the Anti-Narcotics Act, and investigations are underway. The ANF continues its efforts to combat drug trafficking in the region.
