“If anyone has any objection regarding any RO, please refer to the Election Commission of Pakista,” the CEC said and added that the ECP can change the Returning Officer on objection.

He said that they were grateful to the Supreme Court as it got us out of this trouble.

He further said that elections would be held in time and he never said that elections would be delayed.

Political leadership can solve country’s problems only by sitting together and he strongly wished that the political leadership must meet, the CEC hoped.

He maintained that he is not against Tehreek-e-Insaf as it nominated him as Chief Election Commissioner.

After the refusal of the high courts for providing judicial officials for election duties, the ECP took office from the bureaucracy.
