ISLAMABAD: The founder of the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) is set to run for elections in three constituencies, as announced by PTI Chairman Barrister Gohar Ali and Barrister Ali Zafar during a press conference. Gohar Ali Khan, the party chairman, revealed that the PTI founder will be contesting in the National Assembly constituencies of Mianwali, Lahore, and Islamabad.

Barrister Ali Zafar emphasized the PTI’s commitment to holding general elections on February 08, asserting that refraining from submitting nomination papers goes against the democratic process’s spirit. He stated that boycotting the election is not an option, and the party expects attempts from opponents to create a challenging situation.

Barrister Gohar expressed concerns about opponents denying the election field to PTI candidates, highlighting the party’s desire for the Election Commission to ensure its rights as a political entity. Despite acknowledging opponents’ attempts to exacerbate the situation, he emphasized the PTI’s reluctance to worsen it.
