Written order issued on NAB’s plea withdrawal against Nawaz’s acquittal in Avenfield reference

The Islamabad High Court (IHC) on Saturday issued a written order regarding the withdrawal of National Accountability Bureau (NAB) appeal against the acquittal of Nawaz Sharif in the Avenfield reference case.

A division bench, comprised of Chief Justice Aamer Farooq and Justice Mian Gul Hasan Aurangzeb, issued a concise written order.

The order stated that the NAB had received the instructions of the Special Prosecutor Azhar Maqbool to withdraw the appeal.

Following this, the NAB’s plea to withdraw the appeal was accepted by the court; the order wrote.
