Important NSC meeting on Pak-Iran tense situation to be held today
The important session of the National Security Committee (NSC) meeting on the tense situation between Pakistan and Iran will begin after some time.
The news sources revealed that the meeting of the NSC under the chairmanship of Caretaker Prime Minister Anwar ul Haq Kakar will start at 4:30 PM.
Army Chief General Syed Asim Munir, along with other service chiefs, will participate in the meeting of the NSC, and representatives from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Defense will also be in attendance.
The sources further added that a briefing will be given on Pak-Iran tension in the meeting, and decisions will be taken on the law and order situation in the country. Apart from this, important decisions on Pakistan-Iran relations will also be taken in the meeting.
It should be noted that in view of the recent tense situation between Pakistan and Iran, Caretaker Prime Minister Anwarul Haq Kakar cut short his visit to Davos and returned home on Thursday, while Caretaker Foreign Minister Jalil Abbas Jilani, who is in Uganda, also cut short his visit.
