BUREWALA: Former Prime Minister and supremo of the Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) Nawaz Sharif pledged to tackle inflation if elected in the upcoming February 8 general elections.

Speaking at a large election campaign rally in Burewala on Friday, Nawaz assured the participants of providing gas to all and implementing measures to control the rising prices of essential commodities such as roti and sugar.

He expressed gratitude to the people of Burewala for their massive turnout despite the cold weather.

During his address, Sharif urged the public to compare the state of affairs during his prime ministership with the situation after his removal.

Additionally, he declared plans to upgrade Burewala’s status to that of a district and announced the construction of an airport and the development of a motorway from Burewala if his party secures victory.
