The Punjab Excise, Taxation, and Narcotics Control Department has unveiled a revolutionary step in vehicle registration with the introduction of a virtual registration card system.

This digital initiative aims to simplify and expedite the vehicle registration process, addressing the challenges faced by new-vehicle owners who may be penalized due to delays in receiving physical registration cards.

In a recent social media announcement, the department disclosed that individuals who have completed the registration process can now access a virtual version of their registration card online.

By visiting the department’s website and entering their vehicle’s registration and chassis numbers, owners can effortlessly download the digital card onto their smartphones.

Termed as Punjab’s inaugural ‘E-Registration Card,’ this digital solution signifies a noteworthy stride in the region’s journey toward digitizing the vehicle management system.

Beyond the convenience it provides to vehicle owners, the digital system also diminishes reliance on physical documentation, reducing associated delays.
