An unconfirmed notification circulating on social media suggests that both public and private educational institutions will be shut down for four days (January 25–28) due to security concerns in Lahore.

As per the widely circulated notification, it declares the closure of all schools, colleges, and universities throughout the province from January 25 to 28 due to security threats.

Since there hasn’t been any official announcement on this matter, the notification appears to be untrue.

Earlier this month, concerns regarding security led to the closure of several universities in Islamabad. The administrations of Bahria, Air, and Defense universities took the decision to shut down operations during that period.

Nevertheless, Dr. Akbar Nasir Khan, the Chief of Islamabad Police, clarified that the situation in the capital city was well under control.
