Peshawar: The Awami National Party (ANP) has decided to start a protest movement against the alteration of the results of the elections held on February 8.

In the general elections held on February 8, the ANP failed completely in the national and provincial assemblies and could not win any seats.

In this regard, ANP leader and former chief minister KP Amir Haider Khan Hoti had also announced his resignation from all party positions.

ANP says that the protest movement against the alteration of the election results will start in Swabi district on February 20.

Moreover, the provincial and central leadership, candidates, and workers will participate in the demonstration, while the second protest demonstration will be held in Charsadda on February 23. According to the ANP, protests will be held in the entire province after Swabi and Charsadda.

It should be noted that earlier Awami National Party (ANP) leader Aimal Wali Khan rejected the results of the general elections and demanded the opening of most constituencies in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa.

Previously, Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) leader Sher Afzal Marwat disclosed on behalf of Pakistan Peoples Party (PPP) co-chairman Asif Zardari and said that a message has been given that our priority is PTI instead of PML-N.

According to the details, the PTI leader said that Asif Zardari was contacted by some people at 11 p.m., and the leadership was informed about the contact of the PPP.

Veteran PTI leader Sher Afzal Marwat further added that I will inform you about the contacts in the meeting with the PTI founder tomorrow.
