Foreign Office (FO) Spokesperson Mumtaz Zahra Baloch said that fabricated claims on the legality of the Pakistan-Afghan border cannot change the facts.

The spokesperson of the FO while reacting to the statement of the Afghan Interim Deputy Foreign Minister said that the facts of geography, history and international law related to the Pak-Afghan border cannot be changed.

Mumtaz Zahra Baloch further added that the Afghan side should remove the real security concerns of Pakistan.

It should be noted that a statement was made by Afghanistan’s Deputy Interim Foreign Minister, Sher Mohammad Abbas Stanikzai, according to which Afghanistan will never recognize the Durand Line as a border.

Addressing a gathering in Logar on the occasion of the 35th anniversary of the withdrawal of the Soviet Union from Afghanistan, Sher Mohammad Abbas Astankzai said that the land of Afghanistan is still on the other side of the line, we do not accept the principle of visas and passports for Afghan people to come to Afghanistan, we have never recognized Durand and never will.
