In a recent alarming incident in Karachi, a paragliding club in the city endangered lives due to a serious accident.

Over the weekend, a woman had a paragliding accident at Karachi Gliding Club, resulting in her falling into the water. Due to the absence of a rescue team, she remained in the water for 7 to 8 minutes until she was rescued by individuals in a nearby boat.

No rescue team or immediate emergency response from HMR staff was available during the incident. The lack of timely rescue efforts in such a critical situation has sparked concerns. As a result, the woman involved is currently battling for her life in the ICU, according to social media reports.

According to a social media user, the paragliding activities are managed by separate companies, with the green parachute belonging to the Karachi Gliding Club.

As per the user’s account, during her experience with the activity, their parachute failed to open once, and during the two attempts, their landings were not executed properly. She mentioned that they were merely hovering above the water, with a significantly higher altitude compared to the other company.
