In preparation for Pakistan’s upcoming general elections in 2024, acquiring a voter slip emerges as a pivotal step for citizens to locate their designated polling stations and facilitate a smooth voting process. Pakistani nationals have several avenues to obtain their voter slips for the impending elections.

As the nation braces for the electoral event scheduled for February 8, 2024, where members of the National Assembly and four provincial assemblies will be elected, ensuring convenient access to polling stations remains a priority. Polling is scheduled to commence at 8 a.m. and conclude at 5 p.m., with the government declaring February 8 a public holiday to facilitate citizen participation.

To cast their votes, voters are required to present their original Computerized National Identity Cards (CNICs), including expired ones. A staggering total of 5,121 candidates are vying for the 265 National Assembly seats, while 12,695 candidates are contesting the 596 provincial assembly seats.

According to the latest data from the Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), there are 128,585,760 registered voters across the country.

The Election Commission of Pakistan (ECP), in collaboration with the National Database and Registration Authority (NADRA), offers an SMS service for eligible voters to verify their registration status.

By simply texting their CNIC number to 8300, individuals receive an automated response containing crucial information such as the electoral area, block code, and serial number. Alternatively, individuals may visit their respective District Election Commissioner’s office to obtain their voter slips in person.

Moreover, registered voters can conveniently access pertinent information, including constituency details and polling station information, on their mobile phones by sending a message to 8300. Upon receiving the information, individuals can capture a screenshot for easy reference.

These streamlined processes underscore the commitment to facilitating widespread civic engagement and ensuring the integrity of the democratic process in Pakistan.
