The Sindh administration is gearing up to revolutionize Karachi’s public transport system, bringing in a wave of new buses and expanding the electric bus service to two additional routes after Eid.
Transport Minister Sharjeel Inam Memon recently briefed the media on these exciting developments. Following Eid, Karachi residents can anticipate a surge in new buses covering various routes, along with the expansion of the Pink Bus service.
Memon emphasized the government’s commitment to its responsibilities, acknowledging past project delays during the interim government’s tenure. He highlighted the high priority placed by the PPP Chairman and the President on enhancing transport infrastructure.
The minister also highlighted the government’s green initiatives, including the introduction of eco-friendly buses. Some of these environmentally friendly buses are already operational, with plans for more to join the fleet. Additionally, the launch of electric bus services on two new routes is scheduled post-Eid.
