LPG price in Pakistan increased by Rs30/kg
ISLAMABAD: The Oil and Gas Regulatory Authority (OGRA) on Friday announced a significant rise in the price of liquefied petroleum gas (LPG), impacting citizens already facing financial strain.
According to a statement, Irfan Khokhar, Chairman of the LPG Association, asserted that the regulatory body hiked the LPG price by Rs30 per kilogram.
He mentioned that OGRA has not yet issued an official notification regarding this increase.
Khokhar attributed the surge in prices to LPG quota holders and importers, accusing them of orchestrating an artificial shortage of the commodity nationwide.
Earlier in March, OGRA had reduced the price of LPG for the same month. In a notification, the authority decreased the LPG price by Rs10 per kg, with commercial cylinder prices reduced by Rs37.
