In a recent incident in Toronto, an air hostess from Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) was fined for flying to Canada without her passport.

The incident occurred during the Islamabad-Toronto flight PK-781 on March 15, where the air hostess forgot to bring her passport and had to rely on general declaration documents for boarding the plane on her return journey.

According to reports, Canadian authorities imposed a fine of $200 on the female steward for negligence in ensuring she had her passport with her before the flight to Toronto.

A spokesperson from PIA confirmed the incident but dismissed speculation that the air hostess intended to seek asylum in Canada. The spokesperson clarified that the oversight was unintentional and that the airline is taking measures to prevent such incidents in the future.
