RAWALPINDI: On Monday, an intelligence-based operation (IBO) in Khyber District, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa resulted in the elimination of four terrorists.

Acting on intelligence leads, security forces engaged in a firefight with the terrorists.

Among those neutralized were the ringleader Qari Wajid, also known as Qari Bariyal, and his associate Raziq, as confirmed by Inter-Services Public Relations (ISPR).

The operation also led to the destruction of the terrorists’ hideout, and authorities seized weapons and ammunition from the scene.

Local residents have expressed their appreciation for the swift action taken by the security forces in their area.
