Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif has expressed his strong disapproval of the assault on the Customs officials’ vehicle in the Daraban region of Dera Ismail Khan.
While praying for forgiveness of martyred Custom officials and patience for their families, the Prime Minister said that the responsibility of taking care of the families of the martyrs now lies with the government.
The federal Board of Revenue (FBR) was instructed to prepare a martyr’s package for the families of the officers. The premier further added that those who laid down their lives for their country while performing duties are alive with Allah.
Mr Shehbaz stressed on continued war until the complete end of terrorism and smuggling, adding that such cowardly actions cannot shake the resolve of the government.
It is pertinent to mention that 6 people including 5 customs officials were killed in firing on Daraban Road in Dera Ismail Khan yesterday.
