LAHORE: Broiler chicken meat prices have dropped significantly by Rs 78 per kg over three days. Currently, the new price stands at Rs 399 per kg, with a further reduction of Rs 17 today.

The wholesale rate for live broiler chicken has been set at Rs 265, while the retail rate is slightly higher at Rs 275. On the other hand, farm eggs have experienced a slight increase of Rs 1 per dozen, now priced at Rs 259.

Moreover, Lahore authorities have released updated official rates for various vegetables and fruits. For instance, first-class onions are priced at Rs 85 per kg, potatoes at Rs 75 per kg, and tomatoes at Rs 50 per kg. Other prices include green chilli at Rs 110 per kg, ginger at Rs 575 per kg, and garlic at Rs 640 per kg.

Furthermore, fruits like apples are priced at Rs 290 per kg, guavas at Rs 160 per kg, and strawberries at Rs 120 per kg. These adjustments aim to regulate prices and ensure affordability for consumers in Lahore.
