Day temperatures likely to rise in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

Peshawar and parts of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa are anticipated to experience mainly hot and dry weather from Tuesday night through Thursday.

According to the Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD), continental air is prevailing over most regions of the country.

Therefore, hot and dry conditions are expected in Peshawar and across Khyber Pakhtunkhwa during this period. Southern districts may witness a gradual increase in daytime temperatures due to the absence of rainfall. However, Chitral and Swat could experience rain-thunderstorms on Wednesday evening or night.

In Peshawar, maximum temperatures are projected to range from 35-37°C on Wednesday and 36-38°C on Thursday.

Meanwhile, hot and humid weather prevailed in Karachi, Hyderabad and most districts of the province during the last 24 hours.

Dera Ismail Khan remained the hottest place in the province where the maximum temperature was recorded at 41°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 31 percent.

In Peshawar, the maximum temperature was recorded at 38°C. Relative humidity in the evening was recorded at 28 percent.
