Nadra updated ID card modification fee structure – May 2024
The Computerized National Identity Card (CNIC) is issued to Pakistani citizens by the National Database and Registration Authority (Nadra). It integrates cutting-edge technology and precise business protocols to ensure its genuineness and legality. Every Pakistani citizen aged 18 and above qualifies for a CNIC.
The card contains essential information, including the applicant’s name, father/spouse’s name, address, ID card number, signature, photograph, date of birth, marital status, gender, and religion. Applicants provide these details to Nadra personnel during the application process.
Modification involves updating the information on the identity document, such as changing the name, correcting name spellings, updating the address, or making other necessary changes.
The authority imposes a specific fee for altering the information on the CNIC following verification. It presents three tiers for handling modification applications.
Under the standard category, a fee of Rs750 is levied, while urgent and executive categories incur charges of Rs1,500 and Rs2,500, respectively.
Nadra charges Rs750 for the normal category and Rs1,500 for urgent categories, and Rs2,500 for executive categories for changing the date of birth on an ID card.
