Pakistan International Airlines (PIA) has announced a generous 20% discount for students travelling from Pakistan to China, aiming to make air travel more accessible for young scholars.

This initiative is designed to support Pakistani students studying in China by alleviating their travel expenses.

Alongside the discount, PIA has raised the baggage allowance to 60 kilograms for students, enabling them to carry essential items such as books and personal belongings more easily.

This provision particularly benefits students who frequently travel between the two countries.

Currently, PIA operates a weekly flight from Islamabad to Beijing every Sunday. The discount applies to students travelling to China and those returning home for a summer break or after completing their studies.

Ali Imran, a Pakistani researcher, emphasized the significance of this discount, citing the substantial number of Pakistani students enrolled in universities across China’s major cities.

The reduced fares and increased baggage allowance present a significant advantage for these students.

In addition to the student discount, PIA has introduced discounted fares for Saudi Arabian residents and individuals with work visas.

These reductions, ranging from 20% to 30%, were offered during the Umrah season for flights to Jeddah, Madinah, Dammam, and Riyadh, enhancing the overall travel experience for passengers.

Through these initiatives, PIA is not only making air travel more affordable but also demonstrating its commitment to supporting education and facilitating international travel for Pakistani students.

For further details and ticket bookings, students can visit the PIA’s official website or contact their local PIA office.
