In a recent update, Bilal Akbar Khan, Punjab’s Minister for Transport, announced new details about the Punjab Bike Scheme. This initiative aims to distribute e-bikes to an impressive 8039 students throughout the province.

Speaking at a press conference in Lahore, Minister Bilal Akbar Khan highlighted the strong interest in the scheme, with about eight lakh students applying for the e-bikes. He noted that this effort aligns with the Chief Minister’s vision to assist the underprivileged.

The minister expressed hope for the positive effects of e-bikes, particularly for girls using them to navigate roads. He emphasized that encouraging their use represents progress and boosts economic growth by empowering women.

Additionally, the minister discussed ongoing upgrades to all stations in Lahore to ensure a smooth experience for users of the Punjab Bike Scheme. This initiative underscores the government’s commitment to promoting sustainable transportation and improving accessibility for both students and the broader public.
