Due to the increasing heat in Punjab, the government has decided to change the school timings. According to a notification from the Literacy and Non-Formal Basic Education Department, these new timings will be in effect immediately until October 15, 2024. Schools will now run from 07:30 am to 11:30 am, Monday to Saturday, without any breaks.

Districts have the authority to adjust these timings as needed for their local circumstances. Any changes will be updated on the Non-Formal Education Management Information System (NFEMIS) portal by the respective districts.

Although there are tweets confirming the notification, an official announcement from the Punjab School Education is still awaited. Parents, students, and teachers are eagerly waiting for more updates on the new summer school timings in Punjab.
