The Private Schools Association (PSA) in Sindh is escalating its plea for the termination of current matriculation exams in Karachi, citing alleged mismanagement issues. They advocate for declaring all matriculation exams organized by the Matriculation Board in Karachi null and void, with immediate arrangements for new exams.

Chairman Haider Ali, addressing reporters in Karachi, voiced serious reservations about the board-conducted matriculation exams’ integrity. He specifically criticized the Deputy Controller of Examinations of the Matriculation Board for inadequate oversight of examination arrangements.

Ali highlighted a troubling scenario where over one and a half million students are presently sitting exams with insufficient supervision at exam centers. He cited instances where students are forced to take exams outdoors, lacking proper facilities, raising concerns about the fairness and integrity of the examination process. This, he stressed, imperils the futures of countless students, both male and female.

The Chairman of Private Schools in Sindh demanded the immediate dismissal of the Controller of Examinations and advocated for the annulment of all previously administered papers. Additionally, he suggested rescheduling exams to occur 15 days later to effectively address ongoing issues.

Furthermore, reports have surfaced indicating not only mismanagement but also the leakage of examination papers on social media platforms before scheduled exam times. This supplementary issue heightens concerns regarding the integrity and fairness of the examination process.
