Rains, gusty winds expected in Peshawar, Khyber Pakhtunkhwa

The Pakistan Meteorological Department (PMD) forecasts the likelihood of rain, wind, and thunderstorms in Lahore and parts of Punjab on Sunday evening and night due to a prevailing westerly wave over the upper regions of the country. This weather pattern is expected to persist for the next 24 hours.

As a result, areas including Murree, Galyat, Rawalpindi, Attock, Jhelum, Chakwal, Mandi Bahauddin, Gujrat, Gujranwala, Lahore, Sialkot, and Narowal may experience rain, wind, and thunderstorms, while other parts of the province are anticipated to have hot and dry conditions.

Hot and dry weather is forecasted for most districts on Monday and Tuesday, with the possibility of dusty winds in southern districts and rain, wind, and thunderstorms in Bahawalpur, Rahim Yar Khan, and nearby areas during the evening and night. Murree, Galyat, and adjacent regions are expected to have partly cloudy or dry weather.

In Lahore, temperatures are predicted to range between 38-40°C on Monday and 39-41°C on Tuesday.

During the last 24 hours, hot and dry weather prevailed in most districts of the province, with exceptions of rain, wind, and thunderstorms in Lahore and some areas.

Bahawalpur remained the hottest place in the province where maximum temperature was recorded at 42°C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 31 per cent.

In Lahore, maximum temperature was recorded at 36°C. Relative humidity during the morning was recorded at 35 per cent.
