The crescent moon of Dhul Hijjah has been sighted in Saudi Arabia, marks the start of the last Islamic month and Eid ul-Adha 2024 will be celebrated in the Arab nation on June 16, 2024 Sunday.

The key moonsighting sites were in Sudair and Tumair as Supreme Court mostly finalizes its conclusions based on those reports.

Moonsighting are also planned for other nations on the 29th day of the month of Dhul Qadah. Saudi officials have confirmed the beginning of the search for the new moon’s thin crescent.

Muslims in some countries, including the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, Jordan, Syria, and Iraq, are expected to look for the Eid al-Adha crescent on Thursday, June 6, 2024.

Eid Moon Update 2024

In Pakistan, the Central Ruet-e-Hilal Committee has arranged a meeting on Friday at the Pakistan Meteorological Department building in Karachi to sight the crescent moon of Dhul Hijjah 1445 AH. Alike zonal meetings will take place in other regional capitals, including Islamabad, on June 7, 2024, starting 30 minutes before the evening prayer.
