Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi has announced a nationwide initiative through the Islamabad Traffic Police (ITP) to streamline the process of obtaining driving licenses across Pakistan.

Residents from any corner of the country can now acquire driving licenses from Islamabad, as declared by Naqvi. Moreover, he emphasized the revocation of all permits for illegally tinted windows, marking a significant step towards ensuring road safety and compliance with regulations.

In an effort to make the process more accessible, the minister introduced tailored facilitation programs for specific groups. College and university students, along with senior citizens residing in Islamabad, will benefit from these initiatives.

Driving licenses for students will be efficiently processed and delivered directly to their educational institutions, while elderly citizens above 70 years old will have the convenience of receiving their licenses at their homes in the federal capital.

Naqvi spearheaded the inauguration ceremony at the ITP Headquarters, unveiling the Islamabad Traffic Police Facilitation on Wheels and the Islamabad Traffic Police Education on Wheels. These mobile services, equipped with license processing vans and educational vehicles, were introduced at F-9 Park, aiming to bring essential services closer to the community.

He also reiterated the strict enforcement against commercial centers failing to provide adequate parking facilities.

Additionally, Naqvi reiterated the ban on tinted car windows and directed the immediate revocation of previously issued permits. He urged the Islamabad Traffic Police to commence issuing licenses to residents from all parts of the country, emphasizing the importance of inclusivity in the license application process for individuals with temporary or permanent addresses in Islamabad.
